Penalties

  1. Possible Penalties
    1. These are the pool of penalties to be drawn from for various rules violations and are subject to change throughout the course of a season.
      1. Map/Match/Cycle suspension
      2. Map/Match forfeit
      3. SR deduction
      4. Discord mute
      5. Season long or permanent Discord banishment
      6. Season long or permanent league banishment, competitor or team
      7. Competitor removal from a team, possible ban on rejoining the same team or teammates
      8. Team dissolution, possible ban on reformation
    2. Any competitor receiving two (2) behavioral suspensions or three (3) overall suspensions will be expelled from the league for the rest of the season.
  2. Automatic Penalties
    1. Playing an ineligible competitor
      1. Map forfeit for all maps the ineligible competitor played in
    2. Not having enough competitors (4) to start a map at the end of a buffer period
      1. Map forfeit for each passed buffer period
    3. A competitor playing for more than one team
      1. Season ban for this competitor and any competitors that knowingly allowed it
        1. If this offense occurs in the playoffs, the season ban will be for the current competitors and the entirety of the following season.
    4. A competitor playing as or for another competitor while using their name (smurfing)
      1. Season ban for this competitor and any competitors that knowingly allowed it
        1. If this offense occurs in the playoffs, the season ban will be for the current competitors and the entirety of the following season.
    5. Playing with a name other than the name registered on the website
      1. A 10 SR deduction to be deducted from the match’s final SR outcome per player with wrong name
    6. Using or distributing a password not intended for you for the purposes of invading a match or invading, recording or observing a scrimmage or practice
      1. Two (2) match suspension if no recording of the event has been taken or distributed.
        1. The two (2) matches the suspension will be served on will be the next two matches the violator’s team plays, whether they be regular season or playoff matches.
      2. Three (3) cycle suspension if a recording of the event has been taken or distributed.
        1. If this offense occurs in the playoffs, suspended for the rest of the playoffs and a suspensions for the first three (3) cycles of the following season.
    7. Using a password not intended for you to invade a practice/scrimmage
      1. One (1) cycle suspension
    8. Intentionally giving away a password to someone not intended to have it, which then leads to a match/practice/scrim being invaded
      1. One (1) cycle suspension
    9. Receiving a ban/permanent mute in the Dash League discord
      1. Ineligible to win awards
      2. Can not participate in All Stars
      3. Disqualified from Captaining a team
    10. Throwing any part of a match
      1. Team disqualification from the remainder of the season including playoffs, possible team banishment
