Regular Season

  1. Initial team placements will be based on MMR/SR from the previous season and Board judgement.
  2. Consists of six (6), two (2) week cycles containing two (2) matches each cycle.
  3. Teams will be placed in tiers each cycle based on MMR.

Playoffs

  1. The Playoffs will consist of eight (8) teams:
    1. At season’s end, teams will be reseeded into tiers based off end season Seed Ranking.
    2. The top six (6) seeds will be based off of Seed Ranking.
    3. The final two (2) seeds will be filled from the Wildcard Tournament
  2. Seed Ranking ties between teams will be broken by winner of the head-to-head match-up, then by highest single Seed Rank gain of the season.

Wildcard Tournament

  1. The Wildcard tournament will involve the seventh (7th) through ninth (9th) or tenth (10th) seeds by Seed Ranking per tier (due to the amount of teams in season 6, the Sprinter tier will not have a wildcard game).
    1. Nine Team Tier Wildcard Format
      1. 8th place finisher vs 9th place finisher
        1. Winner locks in a spot in the playoffs and advances to face the 7th place finisher.
        2. Loser is eliminated.
      2. 7th place finisher vs Winner of 8th vs 9th
        1. Winner gets the 7th seed in the playoffs.
        2. Loser gets the 8th seed in the playoffs.
    2. Ten Team Tier Wildcard Format
      1. 9th place finisher vs 10th place finisher
        1. Winner advances to face the loser of 7th vs 8th.
        2. Loser is eliminated.
      2. 7th place finisher vs 8th place finisher
        1. Winner gets the 7th seed in the playoffs.
        2. Loser faces the winner of 9th vs 10th.
      3. 7th vs 8th loser vs 9th vs 10th winner
        1. Winner gets the 8th seed in the playoffs.
        2. Loser gets eliminated.
  2. Tournament match rules will typically follow regular season match rules.
